Mads Vinding Trio started
out in 1997 as a project with Italian pianist Enrico
Pieranunzi and Danish drummer
Alex Riel.
The trio
played 16 concerts and recorded the CD
"The
Kingdom, where nobody dies" (STUCD 19703)
This album was elected
"Best Jazz CD 1997" in Denmark and was among "Top 5
Albums" 1999 by Ira Gitler/Jazz Times.
In 1998 the great American pianist Roger
Kellaway was invited to do a tour in Denmark and Germany. The trio recorded
"Daddio Don" (STUCD 19813)
In 1999
Carsten
Dahl joined the trio and
this constellation recorded the CD
"Six Hands, Three Minds, One Heart"
live at Copenhagen
Jazzhouse
It was released April 12 2000 on
Stunt Records
(STUCD 00052)
It won Danish Music Awards
2001 and
Reader's Poll 2000
